WELCOME TO MPAIn 1987, Moodie, Pincu, and Associates was formed to represent some of the best lighting and control manufacturers in the world, and cultivate them in the Southern California area. In 2006, the name was changed to MPA, but the philosophy stayed the same: to provide superb service and access to the best products available in the lighting industry. The personnel at MPA bring significant experience and expertise with varied backgrounds in lighting design, fixture manufacturing, live theatre, music production, project management, sales, and customer service. We have years of service in the industry, specifically concentrating in the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties. However, due to our emphasis on specification sales, we influence projects installed all over the world. We specialize in theatrical and architectural lighting, lighting controls, and rigging systems, with an emphasis on emerging technology. We represent a mix of products that is specifically chosen to meet our unique niche of entertainment and architectural lighting in one of the world's busiest markets for these types of applications – the entertainment capital of the world that is Los Angeles. Each of our manufacturers meets a need in this market that consist of a myriad of venues including professional and educational theatre, television and film studios, churches, themed retail stores, restaurants, and other entertainment venues. As manufacturers' representatives, MPA is a service oriented company. We concentrate on targeted sales support of our customer base, which includes lighting consultants and designers, theatrical lighting integrators and dealers, electrical contractors and wholesalers, electrical engineers, and architects. Activities include consulting with customers, providing specification assistance and technical support for our represented lines, quotations for projects either landing in or being designed from our territory, project management for purchased projects within our territory, educating customers on new products and applications, and being a liaison for our various manufacturer factories located all over the world. |
